53 Senators Vote to Keep Funding 'Murtha's Airport'

The John Murtha Airport in Johnstown, PA, has received upward of $150 million in subsidies even though it has only three flights a day,  all to Washington D.C. So basically, you and I are funding John Murtha's private airport.  Murtha's Earmarks Keep Airport Aloft


Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina asked for a vote to remove federal funding from this blatant abuse of taxpayer funds.  (S. Amdt. 2410 to H.R. 3288)  The Amendment was defeated today in the Senate. The corrupt Senators that voted to keep sending taxpayer dollars to Murtha's private airport include Republicans Kit Bond of Missouri and George Voinovich of Ohio.
